AS_Path is a list of ASs that a BGP route passes through.

AS_Path is a very important well-known mandatory attribute in BGP.

BGP does not accept the routes whose AS_Path attribute contains the local AS number.

When a router has two or more routes to the same destination, the router compares the AS_Path attributes of these routes and prefers the route with the longer AS_Path attribute.
